pmsl, sorry to hear that mate, happend to me last year in spain, except I never went to hospital, and I think mine was more like a 24 hour bog, chucking like u tho every 5 mins and this was the day b4 I flew home! was shitting it, lucky in a way i got a good hols out of it first.
