i have put a 2.0zvh lump in my mk1 xr2, went t start her over the weeknd n wouldnt have it, turns out i have bent valves

changed the head, set it to tdc, head bac on, cam belt on (made sure the pulleys never moved)

went to start her, she fired, then died, re started it and had more bent valves!!!

anybody got any ideas why??
