I changed the lot, catch, cable and lock, about £30 worth if I remember rightly. I did the same last year too as a pre caution.
Don't know about makes of pins mate, don't like them personally, I made my own catch that goes round the engine lifting eye. Not ideal, but does the job and you can't see any difference with the bonnet shut.
