rswoza, long story this,so bear with me ,when i 1st fitted the rear bearings i followed the Haynes manual to the letter, used a torque wrench etc so i know i did it all correct.Well on 1st track day after 2 sessions I noticed play in the rear wheel,so I tightened up the bearing bit by bit till the play came out of them. All was good for 700 track miles until i got total bearing failure on the back drivers side hub.I posted about this on here a few weeks ago.Stripped down the hub to find the bearings on the outer side had all melted into each other and the inner race they ran on weled itself onto the stub axle!!!I couldnt remove it and had to get a 2nd hand one from a scrappie!!So now Im in the process of refitting everything and hope thats the last time i get this problem.
I really dont know why it happened as the passenger side is still ok (but i replaced the bearings just in case after the failure on the drivers side!) as i did both sides the same day and in the same way .If i was you id keep an eye on youre rear bearings just in case, but if Tony says they last for ever he is probally right as his rally car must get 10 times more stress into the wheel bearings than my car ever would!!

Tony, thanks for the price etc,if youre at National Day I'll pop over to see youre set up and ask a few questions if you dont mind.

Regards Micky
