We've had an 850csi for a couple of years and it was a truly lovely car to drive.

Great on long distance journeys, not the best a-b on country roads cos it's a huuuuuge car.

Servicing wasn't cheap, but might be better if you use an independent rather than the dealership we used.

Things like brake discs were VERY expensive though, special back order from germany with a three month lead time
Fuel consumption was a joke, computer went straight to 14mpg a few minutes after you re-set it, I reckon it wasn't able to compute lower than that !

Great things about the car were sheer comfort, effortless progress, you can wind front and back windows down, open sunroof and feel like you're in a convertible, and yet, you're not.

Back seats were a joke though (as in most 2+2 coupes).

I keep having a look every now and again for another 850csi as I'd love to own one again.
