Well I guess they are misinformed - it happens. Polybush the roll bar, and while there take the TCAs out - if they are loose and have play in the ball joint, either polybush or replace. If they are seized, grease them up and work them until they are good again (if possible)
Or even better buy adjustable TCAs from MEF on here - fully rose jointed and adjustable to sort camber and save on tyre wear. I've had all three in the past, and the rose jointed adjustables are without doubt the best option.
