does the light light up when you turn the ignition on?
if not then look at getting the bulb changed
if everything else works then it ight just be a duff bulb
unless you've just recently bought it and the former owner, knowing it was going to be a pain in the rs to get the abs sorted took the bulb out

bulbs are easy to change, just put your had up behind the dash panel and twist it out and swap it over
