alex yes it will work... BUT...
most cable companies lock your connection to a specific mac address (every ethernet device has a different mac address)
so when you unplug the cable from your PC n put it on the access point it WONT connect you to the service n give you a connection
you'll probably have to ring them up n get them to add the mac address manually before it will work... as the only way i know to enable the connection is fill in a WEB BASED form... n since you cant browse the internet from the AP itself (well you might but i doubt it) you'll struggle...
altho thinking about it you MIGHT be able to do the webbased form thing on your PC via the access point as long as the AP gives you the sme IP addy... hmm... maybe this is easier than i thought
oh well nevermind ignore what i said, and just be aware ythat you MIGHT have trouble setting up the conenction for the 1st time you plug it in, and you MIGHT have to ring em up to get it working.
