Moonstone,

Ok.. I know Insurers are nobody's favourite subject, but you do need cover for your pride & joy.

Our pilot last year with PF allowed us to gather information and build a panel of underwriters (rather than just one) to cover PF members. Which means we can cover loads more area's than before.

Herts Insurance have been taken over by Adrian Flux, who now run them and so far it's being run as a separate entity.

Flux have always been a competitor of ours and from what we hear they do a decent job, they've been going for 35 years, we've been going for 10. But the underwriters that we both use are often similar, just have different schemes.

One reason that you may have noticed premium Increases would be due to previous abuse of the Herts classic car scheme, which Flux would not look to condone and will have been correcting.

Basically, a classic car scheme is for your mint series 1 RST, RS2000 etc that have been restored to oringinal spec and not modded. When you start placing heavily modded vehicles on there, then get audited by an underwriter (who will hit the roof) your scheme will be withdrawn.

Kind regards

Tony
