I agree with ya mate really I do however you wil understand the need some people have for how things work and I am one of those people. I am the same at work, I do not accept "it works" but need to know how and like the satisfaction of being able to do things myself.

Do this by trying her out unplugged, the boost should drop substantially, if not, it may well have an intermittent contact.

Other alternatives are airleaks etc etc... not easy to diagnose from afar sadly
I also understand it is hard to diagnose only by my explanation. I checked the amal whilst the car was running and it did click when removed. I am suspecting an air leak somewhere as I was getting it up to 22 psi on the boost gauge before I put the Samcos on. I will give it a quick go and then if that dont work I think a trip is in order. How busy are you during the week these days?
