Please help me

Im trying to get rid of the little Icons on the left of home screen but as of yet I aint having much sucess

Does anyone know ( step by step ) how I can get rid of the little fookers before I have to phone Orange and ask for a replacement phone because mine suddenly met with a nasty accident

Please help me Im thick
