The reciepts for the engine total £5000 and I paid half that
I have no idea who I am going to get to build the engine. I've got plenty of time to think about it but any suggestions are welcome. It cam with all the gaskets, water pump , oil pump and even the little oil spray jets for the side of the pistons. Everything brand new and still in it's boxes

27 Junctions on the M1 and I finally got to Ian's. Talked to him for about an hour. Thoroughly nice bloke He does need to have a tidy out in his garage though

I was really happy with how everything seemed to have held together over 20 years even after seeing it with the kit off. However the rear arches are going to be replaced I believe and then rolled or cut back to make sure there is no scrubbage if I want to go with a wider tyre choice or maybe a wider wheel

I've got mixed feelings today as I am happy as Larry as I picked up my promotion from Lance Corporal to Full Corporal and am posted to Belize , Central America for 6 months as many of you know. But I am gutted that I won't be here to go and visit the car and see it in it's different stages of being restored as I fly tomorrow

However the bodyshop will be taking masses of pictures all the way through

Marc Kinsey (M K , see above) lives near the paint shop and is neighbours with one of the people that works their and has said that he will get the pictures off of them and put them up on here so that I can see them whilst I am away. A massive thank you to Marc for this
