Just put my S1 back on the road, last year I took it to John Nobles cos it was hesitating under boost, and even now its still doing it… its fine when the airs really cold but most times its holding back. I don’t know why but its got a Series 2 ECU on it a mate said that my trouble will be this cos series 2’s have a knock sensor unlike the S1, I have a series 1 ECU which i did fit for a short test ages ago but this made no diff, Nobles never said anything about the ECU, they just changed a vacuum pipe but if it is the ECU then why would the S1 type not work, would the car need setting up to run right? Its all standard apart from the exhaust and filter. Been told to send my S1 ECU down to Carl Norris, then have the car set up. Anyone had similar faults or any ideas?
