Really sounds like you are massively bigging up the yanks and not our forces there.
The americans couldnt have stopped the germans without us and we couldnt have stopped them without the yanks, we did the vast majority of the legwork keeping them at bay for a long period of time, then the yanks popped along at the last minute and get all the praise for doing relatively little, cant quite get my head around that TBH.
Either way, thank god the nurburgring exists, thats the only bit of german history that interests me
