My mums fish which is a tank with others, was bright orange, is now silver, we asked an expert and they said its because the tank is not in sunlight, they need sunlight to a degree to keep their colour, (lack of sun light), well it was in her conservatory and now in the dining room where theres no direct sun light, only the tank light, so maybe it could be to do with that.

As long as the fish is well theres nothing you can do and apparently they dont turn back either, so will prob saty that new colour.
