Ok, many folk will be in teh same boat so lets throw some ideas together and then make a definitive topic...

First of all you need the dates...
9th September leave UK
12th September return to UK

You need to arrange to be at Folkstone 1 hr before your train leaves so that will be 7AM for most of you.. myself included.

Then you need somewhere to stay 9th, 10th, 11th to leave on morning of 12th.

You need to arrange a car or to be a passenger.

Drivers of cars i guess will need to arrange insurance for Europe and some recovery scheme in case it all goes a bit pete Tong.

Cost of additional car hire is to be budgeted in case you dont want to risk your transport home going into the Armco when you lend it to Chip

Then i guess you need to budget for 4 days eating and drinking and your proportion of the fuel.

Anyone know how far it is to teh Ring from say, Birmingham?
