As mentioned above - the incident was my misinterpretation of the situation - which is why I apologised to the owner concerned at the end of that session. Thankfully no harm done and lesson learned by me

My rant about people not pulling over for faster cars still stands however, as overtaking is invariably risky at the best of times! During my briefing the instructor clearly advised that there were no BLUE flags to worn of faster drivers, but that slower drivers should allow room for faster drivers to pass. To those that indicated and pulled over for me (as I did for 3 others), TA !!

The briefing said pass on the right... which some drivers made impossible by driving on the right hand side edge of the track FFS...

Short of taking to the infield how are you supposed to pass a car driving on the inside edge of the track? and what are they doing driving there anyhows? DUH!

white escort RS and blue caterfield thing are 2 such cars which spring to mind. white 'scort on the flag lap at Camp, and I get pulled at the end by marshall telling me I overtook on the left.. FFS, given the 40+mph closing speed of mine to the escort into Camp, and him nibbling the inside edge of the track, chequered flag comes out as we enter corner, I back off, we go round corner together, but opposite sides of the track, and I get a bollocking.. (muppets!) - Marshall was wrong and got told so in no uncertain terms.

Then pulled for sound.. 95dbA (98dbA day was'nt it!) passed as usual, but they were trying to make a point.. No idea what it was other than my car was quieter than limit, but louder than some.

Combe gets worse and worse....
