ALL cambelts should be changed every few years really, ferrari are just more realistic about this than other makes which is why you never hear of a ferrari belt failing despite the extra strain its under.

Think of all those valves, and how hard the spring ratings are, and you realise thats a lot of work to expect a corrded belt to do at 8000rpm.

I believe there are now two different spec belts available for the 348 though, one of which is rated for 50% longer than the other (3 years instead of 2)

I believe its on moronic 2.7 isnt it? Same as every lawnmower in germany so loads of spares about.
