....A Ferrari cambelt on a 348 has to be changed every 20k or 2 years...WHY??????.....Surely a cambelt would last longer....is it a Ferrari scam?

Incidentally can a cambelt loose strength over time regardless of miles?

Mines due.......aint been done for 5 years BUT has only covered 10k so does it REALLY need doin???...(Gonna get it done whatever anyway although i aint DIY as the engine has to come out..apparently a 20 hr job ..and about £1200 )
