to be honest mate your cossies oil consumption isn't all that bad, they all use oil to some extent. i've indeed asked the same question on here myself when i first got mine and if i remember correctly ford actually state that even from new these engines will use something like a litre to every 600 miles.

imo if a standard lump is going to use oil then a tuned engine running higher boost is going to use probably a more than standard.
