I have had my saff 2wd for a couple of weeks and have replaced the turbo as a bargain t4 came up, and it was smoking loads. Before that it was using about a litre of oil in about 1 n a half weeks, now I changed the turbo its still drinking oil, it was running lean and misfiring which has been sorted by new ht cap and rotor arm + leads . I have also changed the fuel pump and filter. Its now running sweet like the clapper’s and still drinking oil. It has only done 1500 miles since a rebuild and has a group a oil breather. IM using Magnetek 10 – 40 recommended by a mate with a saff. There are no major oil leeks and it doesn’t smoke too much. I have checked the compression and there all spot on and the plugs are dry,
Like I said IM going through about a litre in about 2 weeks the car has done 83000. Is this normal or can anyone suggest why its drinking oil like a fish????? or mabe a replacement oil???
