yes dan your correct ,if you look on the slam panel it has a little metal plate riveted on thats say "NO MANUFACTURE WARRANTY",I did'nt know anything about it until eddie the mechanic at woodford garage told me.at least I know it was seviced well and probably tested well too ,funny that I still test it everytime I drive it standard diff and box are lasting well even with all the launching
