That's what I mean!

Of course you can stop - sell it now, recoup as much of your losses as possible, and buy an Escort Cosworth - why would you not?
I won't recoup anything cos it's in bits atm, lol

as for buying an Escort Cosworth. I would and I may next year or I may buy something else, but not at the sacrifice of the GTi

Cossie is gonna need some deep pocket spending anyway. For me, it would HAVE to be imperial blue, I'd like to keep it on standard wheels, but in the end would give into some HUGE brakes, which would mean 18's

I'd want it at a "useable" 330BHP state of tune, no more, no less, and the engine would probably need a total rebuild etc etc at some point cos I'm just too fussy

I almost bought a Saff a few months back, but it seemed "too cheap" for the spec it supposedly was and also I didn't believe the claimed 380BHP when it was running on greens.

I'm fussy and everything has to be spot on and I'd spend money by the shedload on ANY Ford tbh, and I while I look at a few non-fords that'd cost me less in the long run, my heart wudnt be in it after a lifetime of being a blue oval fanatic and nothing would be bring me the same amount of pleasure (or pain )

and yeah, it is a classic example of heart ruling head, but I hate my head ruling my heart and I know 25k (and rising) on an Escort GTi is excessive (and the 2 previous owners musta spent more than that on it ), but it's what I want, I like it and that's what counts to me. Don't care about "market values" and all that when I don't plan on selling
