2wd sapphire.

What are the symptoms of the phase sensor being dodgy? Mine has developed a little misfire here and there and sometimes doesnt want to boost without making a fuss. It is only stage 1, i shortened the gap on the motorcraft plugs - does anyone know what these should be gapped at? that would be an awesome start. And took the dizzy cap off to check no moisture had got in after a steam clean last week, i went out for a drive after refitting the cap. let it come on boost and pop everything stopped. and i drove home on 1 cylinder!! this morning i go out and find i must have fitted the cap incorrectly and the rotor arm has smashed against it and disintergrated

so anyway, essentially, other than me being a jap car refugee with my first cossie and not doing too well at it, what hints does the phase sensor give and what gaps to put my plugs?! thanks for any help, and apologies for the story.. its good to start with a confession though, especially on a sunday.
