was having a really good day today car was working perfect temps were fine ,brakes perfect ,everything was spot on ,even let my brother in law have a session in it ,broke for lunch ,did the usual things ,water ,oil ,tyre pressures, pad check , asked rs gus if he wanted a few laps round as i said i would take him round ,went out on the first lap and just started to wind things up , got the tyres warm and the brakes up to temp ,coming down the pit straight flat in 4th gear snatched 5th then back to 4th started to brake went for 3rd gear ,oops straight in to first at about 90mph let the clutch out reved of the clock then it spluttered then died ,tried to bump it down craner ,no joy at all ,rolled of the circuit to a marshell ,pressed the starter button , spun over like the was no plugs in it ,got no compression at all, i suspect ive done a lot of valves will look at it this week and try and get it done asap , thanks to all those who offered there help . kalliber cossie rs gus ,sean bicknell ,disco dave ,and for everybodys kind words of encouragement
one good thing came out of it though ,went to race control to have a few words with vaungh who runs donnington ,he asked how i was getting on ,told him my problems and he gave me tickets for ,barc car championship 28th august seat festival racing 29th august,and bank monday holiday car races 30th august,all in the hospitality suites with pits and paddock passes pit parking so me and my son ,nick ,will have a good weekends racing
