Doesnt matter if 5 people were taking it in turns etc and if you were selling the car and giving test drives, if you dont prove who was driving then you will get the fine/points

Thats not true, you have to provide the names of the people that could have been driving at the time, it is up to them to PROVE who was. However, you cannot say you just don't know.
We have had three people avoid points from cameras this way within the company so far (these were company vehicles though). We provided them with a list of people that "could" have been driving the cars (company pool cars) and although it is advisory, it is not compulsory to keep a log of who drives what when.
