i run a PiperX Vector cone...had a Ram Air one in there first which was god knows howmany years old...noticed a bit of difference with noise but thats it...not going to try standard air box as im going EFI any way...

however

would it make a considerable difference if you boxed off the cone air filter and had its own seperate cold air feed pipe? so not heat soak from the engine?
