apparently, to reset the small turbo ecu, all you do is disconnect it from the loom for a few mins, then have to do its relearning asper in the workshop manual:

get it up to normal running temp, disconnect the ecu for a coulpe of mins, the reconnect and let it idle for 2 mins, increase the revs to about 1200, and hold there for a further 2 mins, the drive for about 5 miles varied driving to complete the learning sequence.
