Myself and two others....(at this stage, they will stay nameless but they are both from here) are seriOusly thinking of buying a car purely for the track and maybe a couple of hill stages, etc but definately a track car....

We agreed last night that to buy the car, we will have a budget of approx. £800 each (£2400 in total but it may stretch slightly more if the right car comes along )

sooo....we tryed to think of one last night but we were unagreed on anything....

we know the following...we want it FUN, cheap to repair, NON TURBO , and cheap'ish to modify!!!!

one car we did sort of agree on was a 205GTI with MI16 engine...OR a mk1 golf with 2.0 engine on throttle bodies....

So does anyone else have any opinions that may meet the above?!?!

Oh, and if its rear wheel drive....they have agreed NOT to let me drive it...EVER
