But we were doing 6 hours labour on Sharans. You have to BOLT the engine support to the front wings due to the steep angle the bonnet sits at. Battery and battery tray out just for starters.
fookinell man , there a pretty straight forward job, done loads and loads now , i work in the VW group and think the sharn/galaxy/alhambra are an easy vehicle to work on, a clutch change by the book is 4.7 hours , less than 3 in reality to do with a bit of experiance , tho the VR6 variant is a bit of a pig,
but to answer the Q, not too bad to do

Nothings impossible, but not much bloody fun either.
I'll admit though that I really dont care about them. Probably started when they had that brake recall issue a few years back.
