I've always viewed flexi lines as a necessary evil, as when the line moves, due to the wheel turning or the line expanding under pressure, its internal volume will alter, leading to a less precise feel at the pedal. How much of a difference it makes in practice, i can't say, as i havn't done back to back tests, but the theory stands up.
