I don't think i've ever heard of a crank failing.

Steel cranks i think are stronger so therefore can be made with less meat on and therefore lighter.

What have you done to your car so far??

Is it totally standard?

You aint actually told us what car it is yet?
I assume its a S2 Turbo?
