I'm sure with regular oil changes cams will "last" 100k+ and the engine will run fine, it always makes me laugh when you read in car mags that they take an old s2 and dyno it, then stick in a performance cam and dyno it again and obviously you see a nice big increase, but personally i think they should dyno it with a NEW ford cam before fitting a NEW performance cam, i'm pretty sure the increase wouldn't be as big. just my own little opinion of course but these engines arn't the best designed at getting oil to the top
