working again.!!..it was alaong those lines...

started tracing the main cables from the pump bck after i proved that it works with a direct feed.

got to the battery, there are 2 fairly heavy cables (2.5mm2) that are in their own red sheath... one of these, the actual conductor had snapped inside the insucation, right at the end where yuo have to waggle them to get the abttery charger croc clips on, re crimped the end witha nice new eyelet and hey presto , brakes again.
