know what u mean mate...what was your launching technique like? how hard where you revving and then lifting the clutch up?
We ran a ERST at the pod who's best time was 15.1 @ 99mph IIRC...running approx 230hp however it was his first ever time launching and first ever time at the quarter! he couldnt launch it right and was rolling off the line then flooring it...think he was concerned about breaking his g/box even though its a stage 2 bernie box lol...that plus the fact he looked high didnt help LOL...he was being FAR too lenient with the launches but once rolling it was rapid! spinning into 3rd gear!
think the best way to launch (that i have found in my turbo) is keep revving to 2500-3000rpm and keep dabbing the throttle so your holding 0psi boost instead of vacuum...then let the clutch up...as the clutch is coming up your increasing the throttle so your riding the clutch a bit while accelerating....
with the above technique i have beaten many faster more powerful cars off the line no probs.....am in second within 2-3 seconds!!
give it a go mate
