So you mean i do have to remove the gearbox... Doh.

I didnt really want to do that aswell. Oh well i guess if it cant be removed without the box, then its gotta come out together!

How do you lift the front of the car up to get the engine out the bottom of it!? I can hire an engine crane to drop the engine from its mounts onto the ground, should i then be lifting the car with the crane? And where would i attach the crane to on the car?!
