Default 1.8 escos mk5

Hi all;

Going to buy the bits tomorrow to fit new clutch and the cam belt, will have to hire a engine crane and then me and my brother will spend next week fitting that, along with the LPG kit. (30p a litre woohoo)

Can i disconnect the engine from the gearbox in the engine bay and just lift out the engine, or do i have to lift out both gearbox and engine? as i have never done such complicated things (im not stupid tho..)

If its a both then is it easy to do the drive shafts? should i get the proper tool or just use a makeshift tool?

Thanks,
Steve
