another rough one - when engines attack

had to remove an engine from a bus going to scrap when i was a psv fitter (3 years since), thought fuck it, this'll be made easy - lifted bus up on hetra's (one per wheel, lifting system), then put a hydraulic lifting table under the engine, went round with oxy/aceteline gas cutter and cut everything i cound find, fuel lines, hydo lines, electrics, engine mounts, gearbox mounts, propshaft, and then lowered the table - engine wouldn't come out - bit odd, anyway, couldnt see anything so moved table away, went into bus and while holding onto the seats, started stamping on the engine (was an old Mk2 national so engine flaps on the saloon floor) - engine gave way and landed on teh floor - 4 foot drop - went with a right bang, smashed the sump in bits, split the gearbox bell housing, cracked the block and fucked it totally - i got a right bollocking for that
