A mate of mine has just bought a 1988 2wd Sapphire Cossey.

What are the first checks i should make to the car ?

We are new to the cossey but have owned and worked on many scooby's.

Would like to know what are the common problems and what is the best/safest/most reliable way to get 330 - 350 bhp from this motor?
