Default Did they use the Escort Cossie floorpan....

... in the mk6 RS2000?

Been having a chat with someone on the Escort Cabby club forum and the guy was saying he was going to Cossie a Mk6 and use the 4x4 transmission.

I told him most of the strength came from the floor so the conversion would need to be done properly. To which he replied....

hence the reason of using RS2k 4wd stuff as they dont use tunnels - it will just need a few bits relocating, exhaust moving , removal of spare wheel well etc
Which is where I went can't be right can it? If it didn't have a tunnel, where the fuck does the prop shaft go I mean this is a 4x4 escort we are talking about an not a ranger

I was always under the impression that when the sales of the Escort Cossie slumped Ford had all these cossie shells they didn't know what to do with so stuck in the cheaper RS2000 engine and floged em.
