yep if u bridge the plug it should come on. i had no plug but 2 spade clips on mine going to the fan switch when i bought it, fan switch wasnt working, and i had a plug/fan switch off an XR2 so banged them on and all is well now bridge it and it should come on! try a bit of WD40 to clean the conections on the plug up, scrape it a bit with a screwdriver might help
