Now the Scooby was a WRX type RA (lightweight, close ratio geared for acceleration) running 282 bhp, 267lbs/ft of torque and went like stink. The cossy when I first got it was 288bhp and similar torque although it's stage 3 so must have had a problem. When I replaced the diff it felt must faster, more like the 330bhp it should be.

Now as far as comparisons go the acceleration of the scooby from 0 to 30 was mind blowing due to the 4 wheel drive, but when the cossy gets the power down i.e 20+ it feels MUCH quicker, pulls alot harder for alot longer. Motorway driving the cossy will leave a scooby for dead, I don't have much trouble out accelerating porsches for christ sake!!

Handling scooby is superior but only because the car feels alot safer to push harder, due to the cossy being 2wd I don't push it like I'm sure I could, due to fear of death!! (the whole point in buying it ) But still there is no way the cossy could handle like the scooby, I just can't see it.

The scooby is a very rewarding car because it is extremelly forgiving and very easy to drive quickly. It's simply a case of point, put foot down and let the car sort it out. The cossy you have to DRIVE, completely different cup of tea.

The scooby only had 2 pot brakes but with black diamond discs and red stuff pads felt alot better than the standard brakes and pads I have on the cos....but I have new discs and pads to sort that out.
