Yep but I wouldn't change oil less often then 10k kms in a hard used turbo-charged petrol engine. New Scoobies and Evos have longer periods, still if they are hard used the oil which is drained during changed is very very black and dirty. It's worth to change it frequently - e.g. after trackdays.
