thats slightly true tiny about oily hand prints
but you will find once you start wiping the walls down it will become dirty anyway,and then the only way to clean it up again is to paint it

one thing dave i wouldn't really use cheapo paint,,go to a trade shop like brewers and get there albany brand ( we call this cheapo paint,but its not like cheapo shite from b&q's)
