Just a quick story about a thing that happened last Wednesday night, 4th May. Fire at a block of flats, council owned with rumours that the ground floor flat was occupied by drug addicts and the fire may have been started deliberately. Over the weekend I have heard that the flat directly above it was occupied by a friend from school and his girlfriend. Her life support machine was turned off early Friday morning and it is unsure if he will make it through the next week. If he does survive he has to deal with the trauma of being told his 24 year-old girlfriend is dead. None of the flats were fitted with smoke alarms.
Sorry if this seems a harsh post but please if you don’t have smoke alarms, GET ONE. If your parents don’t have one, get them one too. And your grandparents.
