yep when i was on track at weekend it was just not going into gear right and linkegd has been on its way out for some time so went to fords and order some new parts
but fords wanted 140 for new rack
moterfacotors only wanted £38 pounds
quick rack was 90 but ant realy worth it imo
alex you could buy the bushes in the linkage seperate from fords which is what i did to mine it has made it like new and the best bit is it only cost £12
its only the bushes inside that wearout over the years and the springs inside which loose there tension. also to make it better you could find a GOOD second hand bar(the one with the universal joint which goes to the g'box) as the joint will have play in it over the years.
i was gunna get a b&m shifter for mine untill i felt one in a s2 and it was rubbish the lever was all over the place but the distance to get it in gear from gear is much shorter/ quicker BUT with the sloppyness of the lever its easy to get it in the wrong gear
