Removing d/v wont do anything starting wise. makesure the vacum hose is still on the ECU end secuerly. unplug the cold start valve meantime so it wont flood as easily when starting. something that MAY help, but if its already overfueling im not so sure, is when starting, get someone to hold the metering flap down a few mm (airbox off job) it may well start like this, but obv a pain if u need to start it allot, have you tried bump starting it, wont cure the prob but will atlest let you know if it is gonna start and if the problems a bit more deeper!
