A ported box gives you a lower bass frequency, eg for music like snoop/dre, not so good for dancy tunes.

A sealed box would be better for dancy punchy bass.

Yes, ever make of speaker needs different sized boxes.

Also bear in mind, a ported box needs to be roughly half the size again of that of a sealed box. The port itself, in the length it goes into box and the hole size is very important, it can drastically change the way the bass sounds.

A good recommendation for a bass sub/amp combo is the JL Audio 1000/1 monoblock amp and a 15w3 (or 15w7 cant remem) sub, again by JL audio.

just get some reinforcements for the windows and a split charge battery system
