Last week I ordered a new set of front koni dampers. When comparing them to the old dampers (also koni) which had been removed it was apparent that the spring cups on the new set were mounted 1 inch further down the damper body than on the old ones.
I've had it confirmed today by koni uk (camberley auto factors) that the new set have been manufactured incorrectly. I don't know if it's just my set or a whole batch.

This is a pic of the incorrect units. the measurement from the very bottom of the spring cup (where it's welded to the damper body) to the bottom of the damper is approx 185mm.
