changed the plugs on my series 2 as they were knackered and black

put new ones in and now it wont start, , plenty of fuel coming through as all 4 plugs were soaked when i removed them after trying to start the car

how do i check there is a strong spark? its just me and i know how to check with 2 people, is there a way on your own.

any other reasons it wont start
i think its running way too rich but dont wanna mess with fuelling if possible
advice and help appreciated
